Shruti Haasan wore a badass updo at the Craftsvilla.com Healthntrends Ethnic Designer of the Year award. The look is perfect for those who want to stand out and make a statement. While updos are in this season, this is certainly a refreshing change.
Here’s how to get Shruti’s faux undercut with braided Mohawk.
-- This hairstyle will hold better on second day hair, so wash your hair the previous day with a volumising shampoo and conditioner.
-- Neatly divide your hair into five sections vertically. Spritz hairspray on the lengths.
-- Start with the lowest section next to the year. Coat the hair with a hair smoothing balm, take three strands from the temple and French braid it.
-- The braid should run diagonal and follow down the nape of the neck. Secure it with a pin at the nape. Repeat the same with all the sections barring the middle one which will be the braided Mohawk.
-- Once you’ve finished braiding the undercuts, French braid the middle section. Gather hair from the remaining sections from the nape and continue.
-- Once you reach the end, pull up the braid and place it on the crown to make it look like a Mohawk. Secure with bobby pins. Finish with lots of holding spray.
