Stars we wish designed for us

With their unique personal style, it would be a treat for fashion lovers the world over if these stars take to designing.

Deepika Padukone launched her fashion line recently. Malaika Arora Khan and Bipasha Basu already have their clothing and accessory line. Now, we hear actor, model and fashionista Neha Dhupia too wants to start her own clothing line. She also mentioned her collection would involve accessible designs, loose, deconstructed pieces and lots of pockets. We can’t wait to see—and try on—these easy-wear outfits that promise to keep the regular woman’s requirements in mind. We wouldn’t mind having Neha’s choice of earthy tones and quirky dhoti trousers in our wardrobes!

Other celebrities whose styles we wouldn’t mind borrowing from are:

Lady Gaga

What fun fashion wishlist doesn’t include the dramatic fashion sense of this soulful singer? OTT is the way to be. Minus the meat dresses, mind you. Outlandish costumes, theatrical makeup funky wigs and plenty of neon might not be the order of the day, but they do comprise a super fun time.

Sona Mohapatra
Fuchsias, reds and even a splash of bold fluorescent colours feature in this singer’s choice of clothing. We’ve seen the singer in elegant floor-sweeping gowns, jacket dresses and chic ethnic wear. An ideal choice for this festive season.

Mindy Kaling
This Indian-origin actor is curvaceous and so comfortable with it. A wonderful role model for body positivity, she stands testament to the fact that you don’t have to be skinny to be beautiful. Her bright dresses and Indian attire are to die for.

Jennifer Aniston
America’s sweetheart is an appropriate title for this TV and movie superstar. She can rock a messy look on the red carpet and even do casual comfort or go grunge with easy confidence.

Meryl Streep
We love her for her acting, her personality and her ability to dress age-appropriately. Sexy as ever, we would love to borrow from her wardrobe through our later years.
