Meet Chantelle Winnie. She’s got more than 650,000 followers on Instagram, was a contestant on America’s Next Top Model (ANTM) and you might recognise her from the hoardings for international brand Diesel. She also walked the ramp for designer Ashish and is the star of Spanish label Desigual’s latest campaign. And she has vitiligo, a skin condition she developed when she was four.
Born to a single mother in Toronto, Chantelle first came to fame with her stint on the American reality show, ANTM. While it is her vitiligo that in part shot her into the spotlight, the aspiring model is clear that she doesn’t want to fit into any moulds. She has high aspirations—she would like to be on the cover of magazines and even walk the runway for Chanel—and with all the work she’s racked up she’s already redefining our standards of beauty. One thing is clear, we’re pretty sure she’s got the modelling chops to reach the top.
