Blame it on the pandemic, but the 18 months spent at home in yoga tights and sports bras and tumble-washed t-shirts has made us a little rusty. Our dressing-up skills seem to have deteriorated to the point of no return. Luckily for us, the situation isn’t completely hopeless because athleisure has become the cornerstone of the wardrobes of the 21st century. Guess billions entering lockdown at the same time does have its perks.
We’re looking at athleisure like casual power dressing. It is sporty yet glam and when done right, even statement-making. Sure, we’ve all managed to manoeuvre the tricky minefield of sports dressing between attending zoom calls and making a dash for milk to the local grocery store, but that doesn’t mean we’re confident to take our looks out for a spin just yet.
