On her birthday, we look back at roles that we loved Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in and our wish list of roles we would like to see her in.

1. Why not a special number?
If you aren’t a hundred percent convinced about a particular role, don’t say yes to it just for the sake of it. Case in point: Jazbaa. Alternately, please pick something like a Kajra Re for a comeback—though your screen time would be less, it would still be far more memorable and impactful. Remember the waves it generated, almost overshadowing the film itself? And who says a comeback has to be a full-fledged movie and not a special number?

2. Team up with SLB again
No other film has done so much for you as Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam has. It simply etched the character of Nandini in our minds. Though there might be reservations on the co-actor front, we insist you team up with Sanjay Leela Bhansali again. We’d love to see you pull off a Nimbuda or a Dholi Taro the second time.

3. You and Hrithik make a phenomenal jodi
With examples like Dhoom 3, Jodhaa Akbar and Guzaarish, need we say more? We don’t mind another period film or an action thriller, or even a rom-com—all we want to see is the both of you paired together.

4. Stay away from OTT glamorous roles
Raincote, Chokher Bali, Provoked, and the likes worked because of your simplicity and the complexity of the characters. We request you pick substantial roles rather than big production houses and commercialism.

5. Whatever happened to Hollywood?
Though your role in Pink Panther 2 was small, we loved you nonetheless. And since you already have quite a number of Hollywood films to boast of we’re extremely keen on seeing you in more such.
